Idm Not Working In Firefox
A latest version of Firefox does not support old versions of internet download manger program. 1st you have to uninstall the previous version of internet download manger. Firefox said it had disabled the IDM extension because it wasn't compatible. How do I resolve the problem? If 'Uninstall' button is not unavailable and if you are using the latest version of IDM and the integration does not work, it's possible that you use an old version of IDM extension. Since upgrading to Windows 10 I am encountering an issue for downloading video files from web browser players in Microsoft Edge.
I am vainly trying to use Internet Download Manager which worked very well in Windows 7 Ultimate. But now with Windows 10 impossible to download video files with IDM. For example, at 98%-99% of the file content on Youtube in Firefox I am forced to update the file address for IDM to catch it anew. It's then that Edge pops up, searches the file but when it finds it – which is not always the case – doesn’t show any download bar. Consequently no way to download the file.
Note:
Idm Panel Not Showing In Firefox
- This issue concerns download of video files, not Pdf files.
- IDM is listed among “All my Applications” in Windows 10 on my PC but is marked as unavailable app in the settings.
- Don't try going to Youtube on Firefox by yourselves: you would get an error message at the end of the download process and no file downloaded on your hard drive.

EMWhen I triy to open any pdf files in firefox browser internet download manager captures its link and shows the prompt screen to download that file.
I want to open that pdf file in the browser itself without disabling IDM. Is there any shortcut key to do this?

1.Open up IDM, click Options
2.In General tab of IDM's configuration window, click Keys button:
3.Check the check-box Prevent downloading with IDM ,choose any key combination you want.(YOU HAVE TO PRESS AND HOLD THESE KEYS WHILE OPENING A PDF LINK IN FIREFOX)
Another way:
In File types tab, just delete the PDF extension, the below picture shown means IDM will capture the PDF files, to read it in Browser, just delete PDF and click OK. You may have to restart Firefox
An easy way is to click Alt button.
If you want to temporary disable IDM for single download you may hold Alt button while clicking on the download link to prevent IDM from taking the download.
Press Ctrl + Alt (don't remove your finger from any of the keys) and then click on PDF file link, it will open your PDF in a separate tab.
