Kingdom Come Deliverance How To Get Money Lyrics

You start your adventure in Kingdom Come: Deliverance with no money - you must earn everything on your own (in the legal or less-legal way). Here you will find someone suggestions how to do it.

Herbalism

Feb 23, 2018  One of the best ways to earn money fast in Kingdom Come: Deliverance is to get good at stealing, whether that be through lockpicking chests or pickpocketing strangers. Increasing these stats will allow you to get better at stealing, which can help you make money fast if you know where to pilfer.

The best way to grow wealthy in Kingdom Come: Deliverance is not that obvious and can be easily overlooked. It's Herbalism. Although collecting and selling plants require certain preparation, as soon as you get through this stage, you will have a steady income.

Crucial information on Herbalism:

  1. Herbalism is one of Henry's skills and you can develop it by gathering flowers and plants. Collectable items can be found across the entire world map (forests, fields, roadsides etc.) and you don't have to worry that you will collect all the available plants in the game world. You can ALWAYS find more.
  2. At first, Henry will collect only one plant per interaction. At that point the skill is far from being profitable as one plant won't grant you even 1 penny. You need to be patient and reach new levels of Herbalism. Every time you reach a new one, Henry will automatically collect more plants (of the same type) with a single interaction. Thus, a single herb-picking will give you several or several dozen plants. Try to reach level 10 or higher in Herbalism as quickly as possible
  1. Each plant you collect weights around 0.1 pound, which means that you can quickly reach your inventory capacity (exceed your lift capacity). There are two ways to solve this 'problem'. You can place unnecessary items in your hero's chest or temporarily place some of your plants in the horse inventory. It's good to have a mount that can carry a lot of items, but even your good old Pebbles can make a significant difference. Collected plants can be put back to Henry's inventory when you decide to get rid of them.
  2. Once you collect enough herbs and flowers, it's time to finally sell them. Keep in mind that not every merchant will be interested in purchasing your plants, but usually it doesn't take long to find one. You can sell them to apothecaries, alchemists, unspecialized merchants and certain blacksmiths (e.g. one from the Talmberg village). At first, selling your herbs will earn you 'only' several dozen pennies, but you can easily reach 100-200 pennies once you reach further levels and start gathering more plants. Some of the plants that you come across can be very valuable - these include St. John's Wort (0.8 penny), Wormwood (2.2 pennies) or Sage (1.2 penny). If you come across such plants, you should remain in that area for a little longer and search for more herbs around you.

Additional tips and suggestions:

  1. Every merchant has limited amount of gold. Luckily, it's not a major problem. A merchant can hold in his inventory from several hundred to several thousand pennies. Besides, even if he spends his entire gold to purchase your plants, you can always visit a different merchant and sell the rest of your herbs. You could also invest your pennies right away and e.g. buy new armor/weapons from the same person, or pay a skill trainer.
  2. It's highly recommended to develop your Speech, as it allows you to haggle better. This way you can get dozen or several dozen more pennies when selling your herbs. Start haggling by always saying that you want 1/4 more gold than what a trader offers you. Lower your price a little bit if that person refuses to pay what you want.
  3. Developing your Herbalism skill can also improve some of your attributes. This should make you want to focus on this particular skill even more. Reach level 1 to unlock a passive Resistance perk which increases your Vitality by 2. Other useful perks are Flower Power (gives you a +2 Charisma bonus if you have got enough fragrant herbs in your inventory) and Leg Day (Herb-picking activity will add experience to your Strength stat too).

Thieft, selling legally, selling illegally, completing quests and minigames

Other ways to get additional gold:

  1. Theft - in chests and pockets of NPCs you can most of all find gold. The harder the minigame, the greater chance of finding large quantities of gold (even a few hundred pennies). This method also enables you to find various items but don't sell them immediately to local traders as they are considered as coming from the illegal source. This might make you accused of theft. One of the solutions to this problem is moving far away to a different location where selling the item won't cause any suspicion.
  2. Selling legally obtained items - legally obtained means item you haven't stolen (they have no special icon in the inventory). This includes items obtained by exploring the world or from defeated enemies (each killed person should have at least one melee weapon and a set of armor).
  3. Selling illegally acquired items - you don't have to travel to a totally different part of the land to sell stolen goods. You can visit a fence. To find out more you should meet with Miller Peshek, who will give you a side quest The Good Thief. If you steal a specific ring, you can take it to Woyzeck, who will fence items for you and can offer more illegal tasks. Later on, you can visit other fences, such as Miller Simon from Sasau. Apart from stolen goods, you can sell them pelts and meat obtained through hunting (e.g. boar meat is very valuable).
  4. Completing quests - optional quests and activities are usually awarded with gold, although sometimes the rewards might be different (or there might be none). Information about potential rewards can be found in the walkthrough.
  5. Participating in minigames - you might gain money by participating in fist fights, horse fights or playing dice. In the latter case you should previously create manual or automatic save state as luck is very important in this game.

Unique method for From the Ashes DLC expansion

If you have installed the From the Ashes expansion, you can also use the method described below. It requires a lot of preparation, but after you take care of it, you will be able to 'generate' any amount of gold.

As part of completing quests in From the Ashes DLC expansion you must contribute to reconstruction of Pribyslawitz village. After you have built the most important buildings and the village starts to earn money, you can rely on Pribyslawitz as an unlimited source of funds. Namely, you can visit the village every day and take the gold that you have earned from governor's chest. You can streamline the whole process by unlocking a perk called Contemplative (picture 1), which is one of the elements related to advancing to the high levels of experience. The pattern of the 'gold mine' procedure is as follows:

  1. Position yourself next to the chest with the gold in Pribyslawitz.
  2. Switch on the rest/wait option (accelerating the time) and make a jump 24 hours a day (picture 2).
  3. Remove the gold from the chest that the village has earned in the last 24 hours.
  4. Repeat step 2, so use the Time rest option again.

Thanks to the Contemplative perk Henry will not be tired or hungry. You can use the wait option as many times as you want. Depending on what income the village is able to earn, you can earn 1000-2000 gold for a single 'jump in time'.

Feudalism sure made it hard to make a buck, back when. In Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you play Henry, a low-class punk that lost everything. Too bad for you, losing everything makes money a real concern in medieval Bohemia, and without any clear means to make it early on, times are going to be tough. That is, unless you’re willing to do a little dirty work. If you really can’t wait to stock up on Saviour Schnapps or want better armor, now, then follow our tips for making money as a nobody in Kingdom Come’s early hours.

Pay Theresa's uncle ASAP

Once you wake up in Rattay, you'll be in debt to the miller that paid your medical expenses and housed you during your recovery. You can pay the guy or do him a favor. Opt to do him the favor, even if it sounds a bit unsavory for a good lad like Henry. Dark times call for dark measures. Once you find the ring and deliver it, you'll unlock a merchant that buys stolen goods and a thievery questline. Get rich while taking the nobles down a notch. A fair exchange. Just be sure to maintain a good reputation in Rattay, otherwise guards will search your person every time you’re in town, confiscating all your stolen goods. If this happens, just bribe them. You’ll make up for it in no time.

Rob the nobles in Rattay for some easy money

For some easy access to valuable goods you can pinch some of the fancy folks’ goods pretty easily in Rattay. Just wander the bedrooms and offices above the armorer’s place and you can find pricey garments all over the place. You’ll need a lockpick or three and to watch your back, but there aren’t many people that wander through the area during the day. You won’t even need to trespass for a good portion of the items. Take your stolen goods to one of the miller merchants and flip ‘em for the good stuff.

Go bandit huntin’

Once you have a horse you’ll be able to hoard quite a bit more junk from adventuring than before. Reserve that extra space for items you strip from dead men. And if you need to expedite the process of stealing items from dead men (and don’t have any pressing quests) just fast travel between two points that take you through a dark and dangerous forest. Bandits will strike sooner or later, at which point you can kill them, strip them of their valuables (and ears, but we’ll get to that) and sell the junk to a merchant. Don’t get too cocky though. If you’re looking outnumbered, just hoof it on your horse and roam for a smaller, more manageable pack of meanies.

Highway robbery

If you see a traveler in the wilds, called wayfarers in-game, choke ‘em out and they’ll always have 15-30 groschen, decent armor, and some food on them. Just make sure nobody’s watching and it’s a good way to fill your purse early in the game. To choke someone, creep up behind them while crouching and hit F.

Sell... 'trophies'

If you kill a Cuman (the yellow-cloaked warriors with the funky helmets who attacked Henry’s village) they’ll drop an ear. And Sir Robard, the old knight who hangs out in Talmberg, will buy them off you for a decent sum. You’ll need a dagger in your inventory to harvest ears, but they go for about a dozen groschen at most arms dealers.

There’s also Captain Bernard near the combat yard in Rattay, who will give you bandit bounties, small side quests where you rid the land of ne'er-do-wells in return for some good groschens. The guy takes ears too, so, a successful bandit-killing mission paired with an ear harvest can net you a couple hundred coin per mission. Just don’t expect them to go down easy. Invest in some Saviour Schnapps to make some convenient save points with all that extra dough you’re bringing in.

In a game this big and complex, we're sure there are plenty more ways to make a buck. If we find them we'll be sure to share the wealth.
